Film Location & Set Scanning

Remote location scouting

A walkthrough helps your team understand entrances, connections between rooms, sightlines, and the character of a location before another site visit. Share one reference with people who cannot scout at the same time. We agree which interiors, exteriors, grounds, and access areas to capture around the questions your departments need to answer.

Set reference before the space changes

Record agreed areas of a dressed set or location for art, continuity, and VFX reference. Capture is a visual and spatial record of what is visible during the session. Coverage, fine detail, reflective surfaces, moving people, and occlusions are discussed when planning the work. A walkthrough supports reference and review; any required measurement tolerance is agreed separately.

A handoff built around your production

Start with a browser walkthrough for department review. Add selected views, stills, point clouds, or 3D scene exports where those outputs fit the workflow. Tell us the software, units, required formats, intended use, and delivery date before capture. Hosting, file access, and additional processing are part of the proposal.

From location capture to previs

If you need editable geometry, relighting, camera studies, blocking, or a real-time environment, our Build work can prepare the next stage from captured reference. Scene rebuilding, materials, optimization, and stage-specific testing are scoped with your team. A photoreal browser capture and a prepared production scene are separate deliverables.

Questions about film & tv capture

Can the scan be used for virtual production?

It can provide reference and source material for environment preparation. Geometry, materials, relighting, optimization, and acceptance on the intended stage or hardware require an agreed Build scope.

Do you capture both interiors and exteriors?

Both can be scoped. Access, light, weather, site activity, and the required coverage inform the capture plan. The Lot project includes separate interior and exterior experiences.

How is a film capture priced?

Production work is quoted around coverage, access, field time, processing, and deliverables. Share the brief and schedule so we can scope a production quote.

Start with what you need to share.

Tell us about the space, the people who need to see it, and the schedule. We’ll scope the capture and delivery around your project.
