Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about working with Lumerse Studio, from project kickoff to final delivery.

01

Process & Getting Started

It depends on what you need. We can handle the full pipeline (modeling, visualization, and final delivery) or step in at any specific point in your project. Need a 3D model built from plans? Just renderings from an existing model? A virtual tour of a finished space? We scope to what's useful. At any stage, we offer live collaborative sessions on desktop, phone, or VR headset so you can walk through the work with us in real time and give feedback on the spot. Most projects take 2–4 weeks.
Whatever you have. Floor plans, elevations, CAD files, 3D models, material selections, mood boards. We work from all standard architectural file formats. The more detail you share upfront, the faster we can get to work. If you don't have design files and need an existing space modeled, we handle the on-site capture and build the 3D model from scratch. Reach out through our contact page and we'll follow up within 24 hours.
Every project includes revision rounds as part of the scope. Revisions can happen async or in real time. We offer live sessions where you walk through the model with us on desktop, phone, or headset and call out changes on the spot. The number of formal rounds depends on the package, but we stay involved until the deliverables match what you need.

What We Produce

Photorealistic renderings, architectural animations, 360° panoramas, interactive virtual tours, VR/AR experiences, marketing floor plans, and full site documentation. Whether you need a single hero image for a listing or a VR walkthrough for a client presentation, we build it to the level your project demands.
Deliverables depend on the project type. Common formats include:
  • Renderings: High-resolution JPEG and PNG (up to 8K)
  • Animations: MP4, MOV
  • Virtual Tours: Self-hosted HTML5 web tours
  • Panoramas: Equirectangular JPEG (360°)
  • Floor Plans: PDF and high-resolution image exports
  • 3D Models: .3dm, .fbx, .obj, .usdz, and other standard formats
We tailor deliverables to your workflow. If you need a specific format, let us know.
Yes. Our virtual tours are VR-compatible and viewable in any web browser, including Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro. Beyond final deliverables, we use VR/AR throughout the project as a collaboration tool. You join live sessions on desktop, phone, or headset to review the model with us, flag changes in real time, and approve revisions before we move to the next stage. It's cross-platform, so your whole team can participate regardless of device.
An interactive, browser-based experience that lets viewers navigate through a space using 360-degree panoramic images. Click hotspots to move between rooms, zoom into details, and explore at your own pace. Tours can be embedded on your website, shared via link, or viewed in VR. No app download required.
Yes. We scan existing buildings, interiors, and sites on location, usually in a single visit. The scan is delivered as a photorealistic 3D walkthrough you can share with a link, plus point clouds and standard-format exports. If you need drawings, we process the same capture into as-built plans and elevations. See our Spatial Capture page for services and pricing.
A 3D scanning method that records a space's color and geometry together, so the result looks like photography from every angle instead of a flat-shaded model. You can move through the scan freely in a web browser or VR headset. It's the step beyond 360° photos and point clouds: one capture produces the walkthrough, the measurable 3D data, and the archival record. We use it for Spatial Capture projects: real estate, renovation planning, and preservation.
Yes. We scan projects on a milestone or recurring schedule as construction progresses, producing a dated 3D record of work in place. Progress scans can be compared against the design model, shared with remote stakeholders as walkthroughs, and closed out as a final as-built record. If we visualized your project during design, the same team documents it through construction. See Spatial Capture for details.
03

Pricing & Packages

We offer four Build package tiers (Express, Standard, Plus, and Premium) scaled by deliverable type and project scope, and four Capture classes scaled by property type and size. Package rates apply when you're ordering multiple deliverables from the same project. See our pricing page for full pricing and the Scope Builder.
Most projects take 2 to 4 weeks from kickoff to final delivery. Simple rendering packages can turn around faster; larger VR projects or animations may take longer. Rush delivery is available for time-sensitive projects. Let us know your deadline and we'll accommodate where possible.
Yes. We offer adjusted pricing for cultural institutions, nonprofits, and preservation projects. Lumerse Studio is committed to making visualization accessible for projects that preserve cultural heritage, public art, and historically significant spaces. Contact us to discuss your project and we'll work with your budget.
04

How We Work

Both. We build the 3D model and produce all the visuals from it: renderings, animations, virtual tours, the full scope. If you already have a 3D model, we can work from that too. If you're starting from floor plans, CAD files, or even just reference images, we model the space from scratch.
All standard architectural formats: .3dm, .skp, .rvt, .dwg, .ifc, .fbx, .obj, and more. If you can export it, we can work with it. For existing spaces without design files, we capture on-site using LiDAR and photogrammetry and build the model from that data.
Yes. We produce marketing-ready floor plans as part of our visualization packages. They're generated from the 3D model and exported as clean, presentation-ready graphics. Delivered as standalone PDFs or integrated into your rendering package.

Service Area

Lumerse Studio is headquartered in Nob Hill, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our primary service area covers all of New Mexico, including Albuquerque and Santa Fe, with regional coverage extending to Arizona, Colorado, and West Texas. For projects outside the Southwest, travel arrangements can be made. Contact us to discuss logistics.
Absolutely. Most of our visualization work is done remotely. You send design files, we build and deliver. On-site capture is only needed when the project involves an existing physical space. All review and approval is handled digitally.
